In short: Why should it not be fine? The longer answer: It depends.

It mostly depends on what the company wants from the Analyst. Vicky’s experience probably comes from big tech companies in which the data roles are clearly separated. Domain experience and data presentation are presumably some of the most valuable skills in that position.

However, Analytics roles in smaller companies will be more diverse with demand for both technical skills and the skills Vicky describes in this article. It’s not seldom that you’ll take care of the ETL/ELT-processes, data modelling in the Data Lake/Warehouse/Lakehouse and ad hoc queries for reporting. This means, your title could be Data Analyst, but you’re actually doing the work of an Analytics Engineer.

If you like the latter kind of work, knowledge in Java (Data integration pipelines), SQL (data modelling and querying)and Git (Version control for you SQL code, which is especially useful when using dbt) is actually pretty good.
